Olympic Tactical & Investigations LLC (“OlyTac,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is a licensed private-investigations and security-services agency operating under the laws of the State of Washington (RCW 18.165).

We recognize the sensitivity of the information entrusted to us—often involving private individuals, corporations, or ongoing legal matters—and are committed to handling that information lawfully, ethically, and confidentially.

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and disclose information through olytac.com, in person, and in the course of investigative or security operations.

Consistent with RCW 18.165.150 and applicable federal and state evidentiary standards:

  • Case records, surveillance media, and reports are retained for a minimum of five (5) years from completion of the investigation unless otherwise required by law or court order.
  • Digital evidence is stored in encrypted, access-controlled repositories.
  • Upon expiration of retention periods, data are securely destroyed via cryptographic erasure or physical destruction.

We employ layered safeguards including:

  • Encrypted transmission (TLS 1.2+) and storage (AES-256)
  • Access controls and authentication for all case files
  • Secure off-site backups
  • Regular audits of information-system access logs
  • Contractor confidentiality and cybersecurity training

While no system can guarantee absolute security, we maintain controls consistent with NIST SP 800-171 and CJIS best practices.


7. Public Records and Law-Enforcement Exceptions

As a private licensed entity, OlyTac is not subject to the Washington Public Records Act (RCW 42.56). However, we may receive or handle records originating from public agencies. In such cases, we preserve confidentiality to the maximum extent permitted by law and limit disclosure to lawful requests or client authorization.
